First Exhibit!

Good news!
Yesterday I sold my first piece of art at an art exhibit! And it was my first submission at a gallery as well.
It's the deviation over here

It was sold auction style and all the proceeds will go to help fight slavery and human trafficking.

Sometimes

Sometimes I wonder what to say when people ask where I'm from.
Sometimes I say the Philippines, where my heart belongs.
Sometimes I choke out "California" where my tongue is from.
Sometimes I cannot speak.
Sometimes I wonder why I painted China when I had another part of Asia at my fingertips.
Sometimes I wish that I had captured the faces of street children, of lolas and lolos with their beautiful wrinkled faces, the delicacy of drinking nature from a straw and eating the white slippery meat.
Sometimes I see the paintings in my mind and my hands move softly in the air.
Sometimes I simply put down my brushes.
Sometimes I wonder how a world is lost in a plane ride.
Sometimes I believe that a plane is a world of its own.
Sometimes when I look out those windows I want to walk on the clouds.
Sometimes I just want to go back home.
